Excellent and convenient location to the beach and shopping centres. The room is nice and tidy. Friendly and helpful staffs at the counter from 8am to 8pm. Also love the cafe by the lobby. Only the shower has no door and the water goes where they shouldn’t. So you would need two new floor mats everyday since they will all be soaking wet for sure.

Decent hotel. Stayed here for a few nights while visiting Gold Coast with a buddy. Hotel had a bit of a weird smell while we stayed here… but we did come right after cyclone Alfred so not sure if they were dealing with water damage or something - benefit of the doubt. Rooms aren’t bad but not great. Similar to a nice dorm room kind of vibe. Staff were friendly but room cleaning wasn’t very frequent. Location is good, pretty close to public transit, a mall, and plenty of food options. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but for the money, I’d recommend looking around at other options in the area and maybe spending a bit more to get more bang for your buck.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
No smart TV or streaming services available
No in-room microwave, mini bar, or complimentary bottled water
No bathrobes or enhanced amenities
No wardrobe or sufficient storage space
No on-site dining facilities beyond a small café
No gym, pool, or leisure facilities
No 24/7 reception or guest services
Waited 30 minutes “ outside “ of a shitty neighborhood waiting for someone to check us in, tried contacting the staff, got disconnected 3 times and repeated our situation 3 times, only the last staff called back to assist us. ( communicated 2 months as well as a week prior our stay to make sure the late check in is smooth, followed all the instructions and still this happened)
Light switch was broken, the “cafe” only opens Until 2.
No room services, no shower door so the bathroom was flooded with water when taking showers ( not to mention the water pressure was poor).
Cheap bedding and mattress, and the room is extremely small, the twin beds are basically placed against each other, unable to pull out the chairs with our luggage sitting on the floor.
BTW, when we asked the staff what happened to the system that took them so long to check us in ( apparently they thought we were from a different group, and very convinced we arrived a day early, even though we had the booking confirmation with us, and tried to give them the reference to check), he went completely silent ( my husband asked him in a very nice way considering the situation), the staff ignored him which was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Do not recommend.

It was a disappointment to stay at Woodroffe Hotel. The deluxe twin room I got assigned to was blank with secondhand chairs. The beds had no support, my back got sore after my 2 night stay. The hair dryer was covered by hair from the last user, very filthy.

Good location but not much facilities. Parking is not included if you’re driving to GC. The skipper the first day service after we had one night which was weird. There is no lift access to ground floor so you have to carry all your stuff up to the first floor to get to the lift.
