We had a lovely week at Turtle Beach. Reading some of the reviews (after I booked) I was a little bit nervous but I shouldn't have been. It is conveniently located on the Gold Coast Highway and not too long a drive to all the theme parks / attractions. (The tram works at present make it slightly overwhelming when you first arrive but you adjust quickly) The staff from the Maintenance/cleaning crews to the restaurant staff to the administration staff were ALL fabulous. They go above and beyond and truly lovely. The pool, splash pads etc are wonderful we swam every day. The restaurant/Cafe is so convenient and serves amazing coffee and lovely food - their pizza is delicious. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite that had some minor imperfections (could use some touch up paint) but overall was clean and very comfortable. We loved having a large space to relax, full kitchen and a laundry means we dont have a huge pile of washing when we get home. We had a ground floor apartment that opened up on to the restaurant and pool area - it was fabulous. The beds were really comfortable but if you are a light sleeper you can occasionally hear the people above you moving their chairs (but not talking/constant noise). As mentioned in owners other comments these are self contained so bring some extra toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwasher tablets and laundry powder (they comp a couple of sachets) - there is a woolworths conveniently located a few doors down you can walk to. Overall we had fantastic time and we will definitely visit again!

I recently stayed at Turtle Beach Resort and left feeling quite disappointed. While the pools were a hit with the kids and the restaurant served delicious food, several issues overshadowed these positives. Our room was not clean; the outdated wicker furniture was dusty, and I noticed a considerable amount of dust collecting in the cracks. When I looked under the bed, I found what resembled a dust-shaped bed. We were given only one roll of toilet paper upon arrival, which was never restocked, even after I asked the front desk staff. They seemed uninterested and told me that it was just part of the self-contained unit experience. However, I’ve stayed in many self-contained units that still provide essential items like tea, coffee, and toilet paper. Additionally, the dishwasher tablets and coffee supplies were not replenished, and the towel rail fell off the wall, reflecting a lack of maintenance. To top it off, on our last night, the road maintenance crew was working outside, preventing us from getting a good night's sleep. While I understand this wasn’t directly the resort's fault, it certainly added to the unpleasantness of our stay, especially since we had to wake up early for our flight. The resort has great potential, but it really needs to improve its cleanliness and attention to detail. I hope management addresses these issues for the benefit of future guests.

Hello on behalf of this resort I would just like to say: ITS THE BEST THING EVER! It’s like a resort but like 10 times funner than any other resort! I hope the owner sees this. Now I just need to say that this was probably the best time I ever had! Ever since my last stay 4 years ago a lot has changed! I’m glad you guys change this place every-now and then. My favourite bits of the hotel were probably the hidden dishwasher which was a cool touch. And some other hidden gems were, push-in-to-open cabinets which were also cool. Some of my final notes were that in the end I was actually quite sad leaving because I made friends but I had an amazing time here and the resources were amazing such as the tennis court and the swimming pools they were great! In conclusion I personally think that this experience can bring out the best in all of us especially when we are doing activities. Even if it is the lowest activity we are still enjoying this holiday. ANYWAYS PEACE OUT 5 STARS

Great location and family-friendly facilities, but needs a refresh and better value. We recently stayed at Turtle Beach Resort for 8 nights. There are definitely some positives — the kitchen and laundry facilities were super handy, the pools are great for families, and the on-site restaurant serves above-average pub-style meals. Parking was easy, the air conditioning worked well, and the nearby supermarket made things very convenient. I also liked the BBQs on site, which made cooking dinner simple and enjoyable. The location overall is fantastic. However, the resort itself is looking a bit tired and could really use a deep clean and some updates. The beds were very hard, though to their credit the team offered to add pillow tops — a nice gesture that almost turned things around, except we came back to find all four toppers left on the couch for us to fit ourselves. So close to being great service! What really disappointed us was that everything costs extra. $3.99 for two rolls of 1-ply toilet paper after eight nights felt unreasonable, as did the $5 charge for a beach towel or having to pay to use the tennis court. For a place advertised as 4-star, it felt more like a self-contained apartment setup — adequate, but not premium. We have had better ammenities in more basic caravan parks and airbnb’s. They might think they’re saving money by skimping on basics like toilet paper and simple amenities, but it’s costing them in negative Google reviews and guests probably not returning. If the resort focused on cleanliness, comfort, and consistent service, the dated rooms wouldn’t matter as much. Adding air fresheners in bathrooms (as there is no ventilation) would also make a big difference. Overall, a decent family spot in a great area, but it needs better attention to detail and value to live up to its star rating or price. Update Whilst I appreciate your Ai written response I suggest updating your Google listing that puts it as a ‘4 star hotel’. From your response it is not a hotel.

What a great resort for families, especially those with young ones! 3x pools, including splash pad for the kiddies and adults only for.those of us who don't want to be splashed when we are trying to cool down. Gym for the folks, that wasn't too busy to workout, and activity room for the kids. Although, they did not have the games consoles it stated on the website and the games weren't free! There is also a tennis court (again at cost of $5 for 1/2hr games) and basketball hoop. Fun putt putt golf around the resort, again at a cost, but we preferred the putt-putt up the road for a more challenging course 😊 The rooms were spacious, but you are charged for extra washing liquids, so use sparingly, this doesn't help if you are a family of 6! During our stay we had the ensuite door knob come loose, thankfully no one was locked in and they were quick to come around and inspect it. Unfortunately, there were roadworks happening during our visit, so it was a little tricky at times to go out and about. Overall, this is a nice resort and The Deck was a great place to enjoy a cold one at the end of the day, while watching the kids in the splash pad. The staff at The Deck were also very funny, joking about with us, and the food was top notch for the price 👍
