We had stayed here around 10 years ago so came back due to a good past experience, even after reading many average recent reviews.
Our room was good with updated flooring and decent beds. Clean and tidy. Only complaints would be that there was a half attached doorstop on a door and the ensuite door didnt latch. The pools were clean enough considering how many people were using them (school holidays so super busy). Disappointed the slides are for only under 10s so our 12yro daughter could not use them.
The onsite restaurant had decent food but was sadly let down by the meals all coming out at different times rather than close together. The staff were friendly and did provide a forgotten order FOC which was appreciated.
Handy having a Woolworths metro in walking distance for lunches etc.
onsite parking was great, desk staff super friendly.
I would stay here again.

Great place for family and kids. We stayed with another family and had a fantastic stay. Multiple pools and dedicated splash park were highlights, mini golf course around the resort. Convenient location for getting the bus anywhere, beach just down the road. Woolworths 2 minutes walk (really handy for being a self sufficient apartment). Would stay again

We booked turtle beach for 5 nights and checked out after the first night.
We booked and paid for a 2 bedroom superior room and it was old and outdated. Apparently the reason for the room being “superior” is due to upgraded furniture but there was nothing new about the couch. Dirty and old. Went to put a blanket down so the kids could sit on the couch and the blanket was dirty. Had to wash it and dry it myself.
We were able to get past the room, but we were not able to get past the lack of safety at this resort for young families.
Splash zone is not suitable for children under the age of 5. Parents are not able to assist their younger children down the slides despite this not being listed anywhere on the website T&Cs or signage. “Supervisor on duty” suggested my 2 year old go down the slide on her own which would have resulted in multiple broken bones or even death.
Moved to another pool and there were groups of adult men jumping from the top of the slides into the pools with young children swimming below, no supervisors to monitor and control
If you want a chaotic family resort with lack of safety this may suit your holiday needs, but if you are looking for a safe kid friendly resort for younger children definitely do not stay here.
This resort is a law suit waiting to happen.

Rooms were very good, spacious, clean & above expectations.
The experience we had whilst on our first over seas family holiday was not a good one.. Our children were very close to been taken by a stranger who was intoxicated at the resort. The receptionist were helpful at the time of this incident but we were not happy with this situation. We then found out this drunken woman was staying at the resort without children as apart of an emergency housing.. not sure if this is a good idea. After this incident we found out it had happened before. Not recommended at all. Sorry turtle beach.

Awesome for families. The Deck restaurant was convenient, bbq areas good for group gatherings, beautiful gardens, pools are fab with little spas, I like how pools arent covered in "cant do" signage, staff are friendly and helpful. Great for families with young kids, only prob was the 3 storey walk up to room, but getting them gains I guess. We had a great week there. Didn't get a chance to join the kids' club maybe next time.
