Dined at Restaurant 19 at The Star. A superb location with a great view. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.
The food is exceptional, beautifully presented with plenty of choice and accompanied by an extensive wine selection. An excellent dining experience.

The entire staff we’ve had the pleasure of meeting has been excellent! And then we met Reco Gustav. He went above and beyond to keep me calm while I had three flight delays and a room full of rose petals and champagne waiting for me to propose to my now-fiance. We also had an issue with our room the following day and got swapped to a room with a bath. The food has been exceptional the entire stay.

I enjoyed my stay with Star, the only area for improvement for me is the lifts. It sometimes took me 10 minute catch a lift up and down in tower 1. This also took longer as staff are using the passenger lifts as well, this created longer waiting times. I am surprised they do not have their own service lift. Other than that it was a great experience.

Stayed here four nights. On the first two nights, guests in an adjacent room were very loud at the wee hours of the morning. The walls separating our rooms must be very thin!
The rooms were clean, everything worked.
Good views during sunrise. The hotel was ten minutes' walk from nearby shops and restaurants, and a popular beach.

Just Just Just checked in to The Star Gold Coast for a 4 night stay... Mind you we did book through a third party provider... But we were treated at the front desk as if we were less because we did not book directly through their website.
We mentioned it is my 40th birthday tomorrow 3rd Oct, hence the reason for our trip... there was absolutely ZERO care given! We asked if they do anything special for people celebrating their birthdays here...and we were told, "only if you book directly through us".
We asked if an upgrade is possible to a room with a balcony, as we booked the grade below, as there was nothing with a balcony available on the website... we were told, "we can upgrade you to a suite for an extra $164 a night. We do not do complimentary upgrades".
When we came up to our room... the smell was unbearable!! It is a mouldy, and very old, stuffy smell!!
Not quite sure how we are going to stay here for 4 nights.
Wouldn't recommend booking here at all if you're wanting a stay to celebrate a special occasion.
