Stayed here recently to visit my son who is studying at Bond University. The hotel room was a good size, clean and had all the facilities required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great location, super close to the Bond campus. Staff were very helpful in providing information and maps of how to access the campus from the hotel. Will definitely be staying here again upon my next visit to the Gold Coast!

Handy location to the university and the room had a lot of facilities. Lovely outlook to the pool area. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a bit run down and the bathroom smells strongly of mould. Some of the maintenance issues make you wonder what happened and what's the story behind them...

My overall stay was not terrible at the Chancellor apartments. This is despite the air conditioning being broken in the the gym rendering it unusable as it was like a sauna. This is despite the dishwasher in my room breaking halfway through my two week stay. What has motivated me to write this less than glowing review is the call I received from reception at 10.01 am as I was literally at the door to exit to check out. Reception was calling to remind me that I needed to check out at 10.00 am. I found this extremely rude and quite frankly poor customer service. I have spent alot of money here for my two weeks accomodation and have not complained about the lack of a gym or dishwasher- two features that were factors in me choosing to stay in this property over an airbnb place by the beach. I was in the process of leaving my room when I was informed by reception I needed to get out. I think giving customers at least more than a minute past the checkout time to start hassling them to "move on" is not an unreasonable expectation, particularly when the property can't uphold their end of the bargain by delivering an advertised product. A very irritating and unnecessary start to my otherwise pleasant morning!

On arrival with some expectations as first time here ever – after a frustrating struggle with their after hour and their also unclear instructions somehow managed to get into the curly car park ok but not a pleasant start at all. Signs at reception and in the room are unwelcoming. In the small one bed room – wifi instruction again unclear and did not work, the toilets and bath looked soiled and stained and supplies were quite inadequate for three of us for the first night. In kitchen dishwasher was covered in dirty water at its base inside and the utensils looked unclean etc. We were asked to contact their after hours by the reception the day before but the after hours reception told us over twice nothing could be done until the next morning. The spring bed is loosely supported and felt sharp. Unfortunately just like the other reviewer I had no other options but I would certainly not recommend. Wifi is not free and its pricing is not listed as well in the room. There are other unpleasant issues but their reception staff (extremely rude) argued back in detail by email (their management staff not responding) making us feel all very unsettling and unwelcome. In my experience as frequent family travellers to and from Gold Coast Queensland Australia in particular, we should all read much more about the genuine negative reviews to ensure value for money and ongoing supports from the establishments when you need most for your pleasant stay.

The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The lobby has a strange feeling to it though. Feels like walking into an RSL Club rather than hotel/apartment. Hard to describe.
The hallway to elevator also has strange feel to it as well. Kinda spooky 🤔.
But rooms are nice 😁.
It is walking distance to shops so that is very handy.
