It was a pleasant surprise to find this charming and pleasant place, facing the sea, for a fair price and in a great location. The room with beautiful decoration and high quality amenities, denote the care with every detail. The bikes are a cool add on :) I will be back for sure.

New find for myself, my fiancee and I love a good weekend staycation and we found this place on booking.com, but booked through their website - which I recommend. The price was great and breakfast was included on weekends, I think we paid just around $200 for the night. The place is a few steps from the beach and the view from the front, of the ocean, is stunning. The rooms are smaller but they're feature packed with a queen bed and a bath. The bed is really comfortable too. It's really clean and the staff there went above and beyond, very helpful and I have absolutely no complaints. It has a pool around the inside of the property and it's the perfect size, it's got a few cabanas and sun chairs around the place. Perfect place to chill. The location, close to Coolangatta and next to the beach, is perfect, couldn't be a better spot on the coast. All in all, I have absolutely no complaints, it's beautiful - the rooms, the location and the complex in general - the service was spectacular and the price was perfect. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the southern Gold Coast particularly, and Gold Coast in general

We had a lovely stay at Tessa's a few weeks ago! My partner was on crutches at the time, and the lovely lady on reception swapped us to a room downstairs (without us even asking!) which was so kind. She looked after us the whole time and made sure we had a great stay - she was fantastic! The location is close to the airport, but it did not bother us light sleepers, so wouldn't say it's an issue at all. There is a lovely magnesium pool and the beach is just across the bike path. We would highly recommend the breakfast box, and the pizza was also delicious. All in all a wonderful stay, and we will be back!

Loved this place, but unfortunately, the walls are very thin and we had guests next door to our room that were drunk and very noisy from about 10pm to 2am, and then they were up again for some noisy love making at daybreak. Let's just say it felt like we were in the room with them. We did have to laugh, but for the last night of holiday, some more sleep would have been great. 😉👍 Positives: Excellent parking. Free use of bikes. Food nearby. Comfy bed. Close to the airport.

Avoid at all costs! Sorry, long post… So, we checked in about 2:30 pm. First of all there was no parking available and we had to park on the street. Not good when they state on their website free parking. We then checked in the room, it was small and didn’t have a lot of spare room. I could see that it had been renovated a while ago, so despite our reservations we decided to settle in. It was NRL Gand Final night so we had planned on having an early dinner and settling in to watch the game. I turned on the TV, and discovered there was no reception at all. Audio was okay but no picture. I contacted reception and they came and fiddled and couldn’t fix it. I asked to move to another room but they were fully booked. The staff said they would contact the manager and see what they could do. They mentioned that maybe they could move us to one of the penthouses, but would confirm soon. We waited a while and I then went down to reception only to be told they couldn’t contact the manager, but they would talk with us soon. So, we went for a walk and came back, there was still no contact from the staff. Again I went down to reception and they stated that they were looking into moving us into the penthouse, but it needed cleaning. I said we would wait because I just wanted to watch the Grand Final. So again we waited a while longer, but there was no further contact from them. At this stage it was close to 5:00 pm and again we went down to reception and the two staff who we had dealt with decided to show us the penthouse and that they had decided we could move there. Great we thought. We grabbed our bags and walked up there. When we arrived at the room, one of the staff had finally tracked down the manger and I could tell the conversation wasn’t going well. He then told us that despite saying we could have the room, his boss wasn’t going to allow that. At that stage we had had enough and I asked for refund because we wanted to leave. He then put his boss on the phone and then the manager said to me that he had two options for us. 1, he could give us a $200 refund. 2, he could book us an Uber and we could go to a pub and watch the game. I said I didn’t want to do that, we wanted to chill out in a room and watch the game. I asked why we we couldn’t stay in the penthouse, but he stated it costs $900 a night and we hadn’t paid that much. We had paid $600 for a two night stay at the place. We really had had enough at that stage so we just asked for a refund and left. So disappointing, I don’t blame the staff on hand who were doing their best . The manager of the place is the problem. As I said above, avoid the place and stay elsewhere.
