    Loved our stay, the apartment was so comfortable and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. Lovely pool and so close to the beach. Also the Indian restaurant next door was delicious

    The local Burleigh community supported me with our experience and encouraged this review. Burleigh is a beautiful upcoming tourist destination, unfortunately some of the elderly were hoping the retire there have not accepted the growth. I had booked to stay at the swell with my family from 21st Dec 2024 until 28th Dec 2024. Our room was disgusting, food in the microwave, Mould in the washing machine so bad the resort manager refused to get close to it, blind rod fell off hitting my 8-year-old in the head, FILTHY. we were on the private side where only SOME units are for guests. Our keys gave us access to the private pool. First time using the pool we were harassed by Ian and his control freak wife who are permanent residents outlining the pool rules which we hadn't breached. My sister and I have 8 Kids between us, we were reminded why not playing games in the pool would be appreciated as they get sick of hearing children's voices. I quiet home, our kids are well behaved and quiet I don't see anything wrong with kids laughing. There were many people drinking Champaigne by the pool throwing balls having a festive time but Ian and his wife continued to approach us. They advised me to complain about the hotel as they don't like management and that's how they got rid of the last manager, essentially bullied her out. I informed Davina about being harassed whilst using facilities. following day i was using the pool again with my children, my phone rang for an urgent matter i went to get my phone and Ian AND HIS WIFE approached me AGAIN, this time for having a drink in my hand, i was answering an urgent call and he would not get out of my face he continued to refer to the sign stipulating no bottles in pool area but could clearly see i had just come to get my phone. Shortly after another elderly man came out and started to abuse me about children (WHO WHERE NOT KNOWN TO ME) playing marco polo in the pool. He said " we know what room you are in" we can see through the balcony and had a meeting about you yesterday with Ian. I stated i had concerns as they are watching me via the balcony and i have 5 little children 3 of which are girls under 8 with me. he continued to get in my face and i asked him why his behavior was acceptable as they had just walked pass me holding beer bottles. I stated i had paid someone's monthly mortgage in 1 week and had right to use the space allocated to me. Davina the property manager was called, she acknowledged the harassment was unacceptable and suggested she would give me a full refund if i wanted to leave. The following morning i vacated both rooms went to reception for a refund where i was REFUSED a full refund as promised. Davina's Husband an extremely abuse man came out started yelling at us, i asked what his position was and was advised he is the manager only to find out he is her husband! (husband and wife managing the same property proved to be so unprofessional) my Husband then had to interrupt him and ask him to stop speaking to his wife in that manner and to walk away. CHRISTMAS EVE after 3 HOURS with Davina, I explained i had now booked accommodation based on her promise and i was out $7K and all i got was a too bad. Davina then provided me the number for the Australian pool Compliance Services in Sydney advising me that Chris would help me as he is managing partner? I called stating it was Christmas eve, i had driven 10-hour drive with 8 kids and now no accommodation. Chris refused to speak to me, stipulating he has no idea of the day-to-day handlings. He then spent 15 mins on the phone to Davina speaking about me IN FRONT OF ME. QLD police was called and i advised i had all right to press charges for stalk and intimidation by the elderly man watching us via the balcony I was given a PARTIAL refund which is unfair given the situation and was charged a LATE CHECKOUT OF $175 PER ROOM. Our Christmas was almost completely ruined as we spent Christmas eve in tears due to the teams Callous-unemotional handling of the situation and lack of empathy for 8 children.

    Great location central to James st, Burleigh beach and Headland walk.Family pub/club downstairs extra bonus.Our room excellant, but friends room( 1082 ) had best views over pool to ocean,away from traffic noise and very nicely furnished.Would pick this room next stay.

    Wow... what a beautiful location and vibe. The beach is across the road easy walk & close to National Park and village. The apartments are modern, clean and are fully equipped with all your needs. Due to pool upgrades at the resort I was moved to the residential building, magnisum pool was heavenly & restorative. Stef at reception was friendly, helpful and caring advised me on bus services and light rail which i used daily and would highly recommend. The resort is well placed to cafes,shops & supermarket love the chic boho vibe very cool! Im defintely going back and would recommend. Thanks for making my stay wonderful Stef and your help with my lost earring. Just wating for it in the mail. Wishing all the staff joy & abundance! xxx

    My family and I had a long weekend at the Swell resort, very centrally located, 150 m from the beach, cafes and restaurants. The only drawback when we were visiting was the pool was being repaired and couldn’t be used. Will definitely stay there again.
