So worth the visit. The views are spectacular and the meals are good too. Unable to comment on the accommodation , as we only went for lunch. The staff were friendly too, although it is self service for ordering rather than table service. This is understandable, as it is a very busy place so ensures people pay before they eat.

Brilliant view, dogs and peacocks, fresh mountain air, beautiful atmosphere. Food is fresh and tasty, and the staff are polite and happy. Good range of tap beer with a all day special. Very popular, get there early if you're going for lunch as you won't find a seat. The only drawback is you can never enjoy the garden because there is always a wedding. Would be 5 stars if you could enjoy the gardens. I didn't stay but they have accommodation. It's probably my favourite place for lunch on the coast.

We were there for a wedding in the chapel and the reception was in the marquee. Absolutely fabulous. The meal was melt in your mouth beef cheek and mountains of vegetables or chicken Maryland. The staff were terrific. The drinks cold and bar staff worked tirelessly so no one had to wait too long. Awesome old pub and lovely wildlife around you, keeps you entertained. We'll go back for sure 🙂

Views are wonderful. Atmosphere was good too.
Food let them down. Trying to be a bit healthy, I had a chicken caesar salad. I can't recall ever ordering a salad before, but the idea of the crisp lettuce, creamy dressing, crunchy bacon and runny egg yolk had me decide that's what I wanted.
The lettuce was the flimsy outer layers of the lettuce) the person whose birthday it was is a vegetable farmer, so we know what we're dealing with) dressing was just kinda slopped on the lettuce. The bacon didn't really taste of much apart from salt. And the egg was hard and rubbery. The chicken was not dry at all, quite juicy, but had no flavour either, not a single seasoning. I saw the pork belly that my table mate had, and that looked great, with more meat than I've ever had when I've ordered it, but the crackle wasn't crackled, but they were quite happy with it. Apparently the Barramundi was good too.
I know ordering a salad is sad, but this one just made the occasion sadder 😪

The meals we ordered were atrocious. Late getting to our table and when we complained the staff never asked what was wrong and never apologised.
Do not recommend, if people are stupid enough to pay the prices they charge for 3rd rate food then I guess they'll stay in business.
Disgusting customer service.
Should not be in the hospitality industry or they've forgotten what hospitality really is all about.
