I was a bit sceptical after reading so many negative reviews, so my expectations were quite low. We arrived on time for check-in and were pleasantly surprised that our room was already ready. The receptionist was friendly and took the time to explain the layout of the property and how to get around.
We stayed in room 23D and were expecting no air conditioning, tired furniture and a generally run-down space, but found the complete opposite. The room was clean, had a great ocean view, a Fujitsu split-system air conditioner and ceiling fans in each room. It was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, which was very comfortable.
There were lots of families with kids, which created a nice, welcoming atmosphere, and everyone we encountered was friendly. The pool and spa were well maintained, and there was easy access to the beach. Coffee, breakfast and dinner options were all within walking distance, which made the stay even more convenient.

We stayed at the Royal palm for three nights and the apartment we stayed in was well presented and beautifully clean. Just felt the carpets need a good steam but it could be that I’m really sensitive to smells. Regardless it’s a beautiful place with amazing amenities. My kids enjoyed it so much. We will definitely coming back.

We recently stayed at your hotel 24/25/26 October 2025 with bookings in room 24C and 22C.
My mother and my uncle stayed in 24C and they were very pleased with the facilities.
My family of 4 adults stayed in room 22C and were extremely disappointed.
When you compare the photos of a 2 bedroom superior apartment on your website to what we received in apartment 22 C, they are miles apart in quality and value.
* every photo of the living area on your website photos has air conditioning but ours did not. That being the case you should stipulate that not all units have air conditioning and we would have asked for one that did.
* The kettle/jug in the kitchen was broken and we had to use a knife to get the lid open.
* the main bedroom remote kept falling apart
* The ensuite bathroom had mould down the back of the door
* The ensuite show door could not be opened properly as the toilet blocked it from opening fully. I'm glad I'm not a big person as I would not have been able to use it.
* The curtains throughout the apartment were filthy
* The power point between the lounge room and the kitchen did not work and pulled away slightly from the wall.
* The kitchen clock did not work
* The main bedroom side tables were grotty and stained
* The entrance door had plaster work behind it which was not finished
* The portable room cooler in the spare room cupboard could not be used as it sounded like a speed boat which meant you couldn't sleep.
Two weeks after sending the resort an email I am yet to receive a response. Bad customer service has topped off the poor quality apartment.

We spent a week at Royal Palm Resort on the Gold Coast and the overall impression was how well the place is cared for, especially considering the building is around 40 years old. It is strikingly obvious the body corporate is well managed and invests its budget wisely, with fresh paint, excellent amenities, immaculate gardens and landscaping, and everything feeling looked after without being overdone. The refreshed bathrooms were particularly nice, with modern finishes and excellent showers that lifted the whole apartment.
We were on a lower floor and still had an incredible, unobstructed outlook across the resort style pool, over the sand dunes and out to the ocean, which genuinely felt more like a Hawaiian style escape than a typical Gold Coast stay. Early each morning the groundskeeper was out hosing down the pool area and prepping the BBQs for families over the Christmas period, and the entire resort felt spotless and calm despite being peak season. Staff were friendly, value for money was excellent given the time of year, and even chatting with long term residents felt welcoming, like holidaymakers were simply part of the rhythm of the place.
With family living only minutes away, this ended up being an unexpected treat and somewhere that truly felt like home for the stay. Not a single issue to report, and it is an easy choice to return to next time we are on the coast.

Love the location! Walk straight on to the beach. If you make it out of the awesome pool area. Stroll to cafes and other services. Short drive from airport and easy to get on to the M1 motorway if heading further north or south.
