I accidentally went to this theatre with my friends and it turned out to be a hidden gem! The tickets were only $9, much cheaper than other places, and we were so happy to watch a movie here. Drinks, food, and ice cream are all affordable, so no stress.
The atmosphere feels like stepping back into the 1980s — relaxing, enjoyable, and the staff are lovely too. We went on a weekday and in our movie room there were only 6 people, so it felt like watching at home.
There’s also a nice café and some small local shops within walking distance. Parking is easy, the vibe is calm, and you can even enjoy a movie alone without feeling out of place. I’ll definitely come back again. Honestly, it’s better than Harbour Town or Australia Fair’s big shopping centres — no stress, just pure enjoyment.

I was actually on my way to Springbrook. The traffic was horrendous that day so the Nerang exit was more than welcome. I pulled in to this quaint little shopping centre for a rest and revive. I didn't go to the cinema but I did find a great coffee shop/Café.

💯 one of the best cinemas I’ve been to. And also the cheapest! $10 for adults and $8 for kids and the candy bar is half the price of other places! They also offer bottled drinks that are cheaper than 711
You can take the whole family without breaking the bank which is rare these days.
Yeah, it’s dated and doesn’t have recliners but it’s clean and tidy and reminds me of the movies when I was a kid.
No troublemakers or eshays around

It's absolute value, cheaper than other cinemas I know. The seats are better than the gold class at Robina. Give it a go, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Love Nerang Cinema. Can’t really fault it. Reminds me of the 80s even though I was born in the 90s and the only thing I know about the 80s is that everything was louder, shinier, and apparently covered in carpet.
Walking in feels like visiting your cool uncle’s basement if your uncle also sold popcorn and had a surprisingly good projector setup. It’s got that old school charm: no nonsense, no $27 kombucha at the snack bar, no reclining leather thrones that feel like a NASA launch chair. Just classic seats, big screen, and the faint spiritual presence of The Breakfast Club.
The vibe is low for key iconic. It’s the kind of place where people actually watch the movie instead of checking their phones every 14 seconds. The staff are friendly and somehow know exactly which choc-top flavor you didn’t know you were craving.
Perfect for when you want to escape the multiplex madness and time travel to a simpler cinematic era where ticket prices didn’t require a payment plan and the only IMAX was your imagination.
10/10. Nerang Cinema doesn’t just show movies. It is the movie.
