I really love this hotel as the amenities and location are beautiful… however, there is a really big problem with one of the staff members mainly. Every time we have booked accomodation here, the same lady has ruined the experience for us. I believe she might be the manager, and consistently has a problem with everything. She is inflexible and makes up random excuses to get her way. I understand that she is doing her job, but she does NOT make her guests feel comfortable or happy to be there as they’re scared that they might get in trouble or do something wrong by her. She has spoken bad about multiple people, calling people hairy and big. I believe that she needs to know how she makes the guest feel so she can change her attitude towards the guests in order to create a better environment and enjoyable place to stay… because at this stage we walked out feeling harassed and displeased, when we should actually be walking out of a holiday feeling happier than ever. But unfortunately this wasn’t the case.

Our family has been here a few times and each time the Indian receptionist or manager whatever you wanna call her has been the rudest to us. They’ve literally even cancelled our stay before as well. We have literally not disturbed anymore and actually made friends with the other hotel guest. No one believed how rude the lady was and telling us to leave.

Very clean rooms and enjoyable activities are found within the hotel. The service is the best I have received in Australia. Staff will make sure that they will provide you with the best experience. I Will definitely stay here again if I visit the Gold Coast in the future.

First time to Marina Shores . Was greeted by two lovely staff members in reception.
The apartment is a little dated and lift slow.
But, all staff we have interacted with have been kind and friendly.

If you are looking for a nice holiday to relax, take your business elsewhere, save your money on this dump!
I booked Marina Shores for my wedding day as it was very close to the venue.
First day checking in, the reception lady (with short black hair, glasses and dark skin, so you know who I'm talking about) was EXTREAMLY RUDE upon check in.
Not only did she argue with me about my booking at first saying I didnt have a booking and photo ID saying I couldnt use my online ID from a QLD government site, she was also arguing with people infront of me aswell about the same stuff!
She was not welcoming at all and gave horrible death stares everytime you walked past the lobby which was very uncomfortable, she clearly doesn't know how to do her job.
She then entered all the wrong information on computer and accused us of having extra people in our unit, which we didn't and threatened us to leave the hotel!!
If that wasn't stressful enough the rooms were absolute junk! They don't do maintenance on the property.
When we entered our unit there was a horrible smell from the kitchen sink, cups in the cupboard that hadn't been washed properly, not enough towels and blankets for how many people we had checked in, broken door stop so couldn't put the front door back and air con was leaking down the wall!
And worst of all, the tiles in the hallway are starting to lift as they had a hollow sound when walking on them, turns out it is caused from the shower in the main bathroom when our son got a shower that night! The water doesn't run down the drain but runs out the opposite way out the shower door and into the hallway and kitchen. This was a major hazard for my father as he is in his 70s and on a walker. He then had to use the ensuite shower which had a massive step up to get in.
Absolute horrible place and service! Save your money for some place better!!!
