Easily the best vegan restaurant we’ve been to! Made the drive from Brisbane worth it :)
The presentation of the food, the vibe of the place, the quality, the taste AND the service - everything was a 10/10! Happy days🩵

What a satisfying experience! This small local Vegan Japanese restaurant is true gem on Gold Coast for food lovers. We had a lovely lunch there. There are many car parking spot available on site. Nice setting with tables indoor and outdoor. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We tried their sashimi, calamari rings, Aka Ramen ( Red Ramen), Midori Ramen ( Green Ramen) and kids menu sushi (including drinks with three choices). All food are not only delicious but also nicely presented. The sashimi and Calamari rings look and taste real 😊. One thing just needs to be aware of is the price ( ramen 25-26$ ) as they are not cheap but it is the price for unique experience. Overall we are happy with our visit and experience.

This is easily my favourite restaurant, my family and I drive 2 hours just to eat here. As a vegan I haven’t eaten Japanese food in nearly 10 years, so having any sort of opinion for sushi, katsu curry ect is a luxury. But at Izakaya Midori they have exceeded all my expectations, from the service to the presentation to the food its self, there is honestly nothing bad to say about this place.

Attended Izakaya Midori for a special occasion and had a really memorable experience. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the Terichiki Don. The ‘chicken’ was the most real chicken like I’ve had. We also really enjoyed the okinomiyaki. The eggplant with miso and Yuzu was a pleasant surprise a really beautiful dish nothing like I had had before. The sushi is very fresh, the wasabi and ginger were lovely. For dessert we shared the chocolate cake with ice cream, the cake was rich but not heavy or crumbly, just a lovely texture, and a little warm. The ice cream was Hojicha, which I’d never had and it complemented the chocolate cake perfectly. Service and atmosphere 10/10 can’t wait to go back.
