We stay 3 nights at Econolodge. The rooms are basic, but very clean and fresh. The air-conditioning was fantastic which is important in QLD. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Which is a nice change from most of the beds you get in motels, they usually feel like sleeping on concrete. This one was soft and plush.
I will say the narrow flights of stairs leading up to our room was a challenge, especially with a heavy suitcase. Our room only had 1 bedside lamp and 3 pillows for a queen size bed. They are just little things, but they make a difference. The ladies doing the room cleaning were all friendly which was nice. There is plenty of parking, but he aware that you most likely won't get a park outside your room. You'll need to park at the rear of the motel and walk/carry your luggage a bit of a distance up to your room.
All in all, it was quiet and provided the basics for a short QLD stay.

I genuinely really enjoyed my 3 night stay. Things weren't perfect in the room, but for what you pay you do get great value. It was fairly quiet, aircon works, rooms are secure, staff are friendly, beds are comfortable and clean. Tv works and is actually quite modern. Decent size rooms, I mean really nothing to complain about for the price, would recommend for short or even longer stays.
What really sold it is the staff, extremely friendly. Man at the front (guessing the manager) gave us free cold water bottles, didn't act suspicious or anything about us when we reported an issue with the room.
Cleaners were lovely, great place!

Kiri is wonderful, kind and caring Manager. I had a problem and he was quick to help in a caring and understanding manner. . He also helped in pointing out where to eat, etc.
Rahul and other members of the team who I met were friendly and attentive which is nice as so often these days attitudes can be clinical and detached, not so here.
While the rooms are a little dated, they are generous, clean and well appointed.
Location was convenient for my needs so all in all very useful. Will stay here again when I need to in this area.

I stayed at the oconlodge over the weekend. I was a late check-in and they made the process so easy. I cancelled another booking as they made the late check-in process so difficult.
The rooms were lovely and the little extras made it so special.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay with excellent communication.
