My 5-year-old had cold and flu symptoms and needed to be checked by a doctor. It wasn't an emergency that justified going to a hospital. As we had just moved to the area, she was not yet enrolled in a medical center. I called this place and got a very bold answer from the receptionist. She said they wouldn't see patients with flu and cold symptoms, and because my daughter was not enrolled with them, they couldn't do a phone consultation either. This was the first time I had ever experienced anything like that, as usually, doctors need to check the chest, throat, and ears. When I explained that our former clinic was in Tweed, she told me I should contact them. When I told her that it's a long journey and that my kids were not enrolled in any clinic in this area, and asked her what I should do with my child, she bluntly replied, "I don't know. See if the Tweed Clinic can do a phone consultation. She is not positive for Covid, still is wise to check and I also needed the medical certificate to justify her absence from school. This was a very upsetting experience, and I would like to leave this review.

I was extremely disappointed with Dr Carroll. No bedside manner, no empathy or compassion.

The blonde receptionist is inhumane. My poor little girl was in agony, ear and jaw pain. I explained to her that we are from Sydney and our plane is due to fly back in a couple of hours and would like to see a dr to make sure that she's safe to fly. She rudly answered "I have no appointments for you and you can't see a doctor." My daughter and I looked at each other, trying to hold back our tears, while she gave us one last angry look. I hope that one day you'll remember that you refused to help a young girl in so much pain and become a good person. It won't cost you much.

I found reception staff with exception of one very rude for no reason.had side effects I rang up to get a blood test and was told dr F did not want to see me. It was 2 weeks too early. Well that's why I'd rung I was having a bad time.
Also he was always away skiing in Europe so I had to geiother drs and he got angry about seeing other drs as he was away regularly.
That's why I was disappointed and did not like that practice.

We were visiting from interstate and my 4yo had a 41° fever and terrible cough. The receptionist said no one would see him because of his flu symptoms. I asked if she could tell me where I could take him to be examined in the area (eg respiratory clinic/hospital?) she talked over me said to call my regular GP in Adelaide and then hung up on me! I was shocked and upset. I found another clinic near by that would examine him after a RAT test and revealed a chest infection and 2 ear infections.
I’m sure the doctors here are fine but the receptionist definitely didn’t providing the “caring and supportive” approach they promote on their website.
