Visited Dosa Hut Molendinar for lunch and it was a really good experience. The moment I walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming. I ordered the Masala Dosa and Butter Chicken Combo, and both were spot-on — dosa was crispy with a tasty potato filling, and the sambhar had great flavour. The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy, and came with a generous portion of naan.
The place is clean, spacious, and the food came out surprisingly fast even though it was pretty busy. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, and the menu has a huge range — perfect if you’re craving South Indian or Indo-Chinese dishes.
Only thing to note: the spice levels can be a bit strong for some, so worth mentioning your preference when ordering.

So happy to have Dosa Hut here on the Gold Coast! The food is absolutely delicious — I especially love their pani puri and all the different dosa variations. It’s hard to find authentic South Indian flavours, and as someone from Malaysia who often craves this kind of food, this place really hits the spot. The dosas are crispy and tasty, and the briyani is full of flavour and perfectly cooked.
There’s plenty of parking as it’s located in a lot with other shops, though the restaurant faces the main road so it can be a little easy to miss the first time. We went right when they opened at 11am and there were plenty of tables available, I do wish the staff were a bit proactive but they are friendly upon engagement.
And of course, you can’t forget to start or end your meal with their lovely hot masala tea — such a comforting way to finish. Definitely one of my favourite spots for a satisfying Indian meal on the Coast!

An Absolute Disgrace.
I waited over an hour for my food after being told it would be ready in 20 minutes, on a Monday evening, that level of delay is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, I paid $140 only to receive food that was well below average.
The Veg Manchurian looked like it was served in burnt tikka sauce, and the naan was easily the worst I’ve ever had. Having worked in and managed an Indian restaurant for over five years, I can confidently say that if I had ever served food of this quality, I would have shut the place down myself.
And as for the biryani that’s constantly bragged about, it was disappointingly below average.
This experience was utterly unacceptable from both a service and food quality standpoint.

Horrendous experience!!!!!!
Have a look at the pics. This is the Chicken biryani that was delivered to me. Pieces are black in colour. Black! I couldn’t even cut it using cutlery. Completely burnt. Not even edible.
That’s not even it. I actually had ordered goat biryani. Got chicken biryani delivered instead. Tried calling the restaurant. Couldn’t connect. Not possible to leave a message.
If you are out of stock, contact the customer.
Unsurprisingly, food went straight into the bin.
Absolutely Shocking!

Great service from the friendly staff named Tapasya.
We had 2 Chicken 65 Biriyanies (which was alright) and 2 Masala Dosas (which were awesome, and really Crunchy.
The chai was nice too - even though the cups were weird.
