Very, very disappointing. Understaffed and under stocked (running on limited menu). It seems it's a reflection of bad management.
Limited opening hours of the cafe and restaurant. Overall expensive meals and drinks. The rooms are good and the resort location is fantastic, lots to see. Only free-to-air TV is available, as the resort TV system is broken (not just our room).
The playground is a genuine hazard for children and a rust bowl. Broken equipment and unkempt facilities are an eye sore. You can't climb up the watch tower in the rainforest walk anymore.
A few staff members are gems and all acknowledge the current bad state of the resort (receptionist, activity centre and pool side cafe staff members - wonderful).
We have been here a few years ago and it's genuinely sad to see it so run down. The resort convenience store is no longer stocked with fruit and meats like it used to.
Management and owners must give themselves a hard upper cut to the face. I've been to African resorts better managed than this.

I believe this place deserves a more positive google review. I just spent Easter long weekend there and had a great relaxing time.
Our waterfront studio room was booked via air bnb and it was such a perfect room, clean and well equipped. Its quiet at night time which is exactly we wanted.
Sunset beach is such a perfect spot for anytime of the day. We hired a bike for 25$ a day and went to the surf beach for a swim. The resort has 2 pools to cater all ages, and kayak hire. The restaurant is expensive but serves good quality food. We loved the pizzas from poolside. The staff are very relaxed, friendly and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Couran Cove.

Resort tired but excellent value for the cost. Don’t expect too many bells & whistles as many former services & facilities no longer available. Food/drink is reasonable quality but very expensive so best to bring your own food if you can. Our waterfront apartment was in better condition than I was expecting for the cost and still nice to get away. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Super friendly staff and the food and cocktails were delicious. We loved the opportunity to rent some bikes to explore the island and to be able to see some native wildlife. Eventhough some of the resort is a bit dated it was an overall great experience.

If you want a resort experience do not go here. This is a mostly abandoned and derelict once resort. It has all of the resort features but only the pool and 1 restaurant are still in tact. There is a very basic Cafe with premade food only and a small games room. The sunset beach bar was only open 4-7pm on Saturday and was just functioning. Most things were old and broken or in disrepair. No help with bags. Booked dinner for my birthday and when we got to the restaurant there was no booking in my name. Very little to do here.
If you want a 3 star relaxing weekend doing nothing, watching TV, sitting by a pool, eating and drinking it is probably good, but they definitely should no longer call this a resort.
