We used to visit Charm Thai prior to new Management taking over. It used to be one of the best Thai Restaurants around, however sadly that is no longer the case. The guts and gizzards I recently turned down in Japan suddenly sounded rather appetising in comparison to the rubbish they serve here. You can’t complain about the service though because there isn’t any. I waited for an hour and twenty minutes prior to being asked what I wanted to order and even then I had to chase the waitress down only to be told she was very busy and there would be quite a wait on food. She could not provide a time frame however, stating that it was only her and her husband as chef on the busiest night of the week. I ordered takeaway as I couldn’t be bothered waiting any longer and the only thing they seemed focused on was the customers ordering takeaway anyway. Never mind about the 7 or so tables with no visible food on them. When I finally arrived home and opened the takeaway container, I found it to be completely bland, filled with frozen mushy vegetables and lacking any sort of flavour except large amounts of sugar. Since when is a hot green curry supposed to taste purely of sugar! Anyway, suffice to say I won’t be returning and I recommend you don’t either. One star is generous!

I can confidently say that this place is a real hidden gem. Our experience tonight was nothing short of fantastic.
The service was friendly and attentive and the food was sooo tasty and full of flavour!!!
I honestly can't not believe some of the reviews below... proper mind blowing...

EDIT: Under new management.
We have since been to Charm Thai and it has completely changed, not in the best way either. Portion sizes are still the same but quality and flavour has since dramatically gotten worse.

I can’t recommend Charm Thai enough! It’s so gooood. Definitely our go-to when we want Thai food in the area.
Serving sizes are really generous (which you don’t find so easily these days) and flavour is great! You gotta try their Panang Curry and Roti Bread w/ Peanut Sauce - YUM.

Eeeshk. I walked in to collect our takeaway tonight and the place was empty on a Saturday night, which I’ve never ever seen before. We didn’t know the management and chef had changed but when we opened our food it looked, smelled and tasted completely different. I used to highly recommend Charm Thai to friends. It was the best Thai food on the coast. Unfortunately that won’t be happening anymore. The food was edible, but not enjoyable. Nothing special about it, very bland and some odd flavours. The service was great though and I really hope the new owners can turn things around and succeed in their venture.

One of the only place on Tambo that Uber Eats 7 Days per week - even after 8pm.
When you've spent a week without power after our third natural disaster per year in a row - I was so happy to reinitiate my relationship with Charm Thai. When you don't have light, water or sewerage and your fingers smell like gasoline from repairing cracked fuel lines on you generator, they kept me going and I am so grateful.
The quality of the food, the quick delivery, and the fact they do their best to feed the community while under difficult circumstances is an asset. Respect.
The delivery times are always accurate (often early) and the food is always great. Good Portion sizes. No Skimping with canned Veg. Very Consistent quality (which is hard to find up here). Reasonable prices and low deliver fee.
