Very poor experience with Burleigh Gardens, the rooms are not what are advertised they are old and outdated and it's highway robbery for what they charge you and what you get. When brought to the managers attention we got the reply "whats wrong with it?"in a rude and condescending tone. During this conversation we mentiond the things that needed fixing in the unit including, rusted vents that were half hanging down from the ceiling, holes in the walls that had not been fixed & mould are just some of the things. We said "the unit really needs a lot of work" and were met with a rude reply of "well if you think so". No apology.. we were given the option of another room but by this stage we were highly annoyed and upset. Judging by the amount of 1 star reviews on here it appears to be a common discrepancy with many previous holiday go-ers.The manager is extremely rude and acted as though we had ruined his day by saying we were unhappy with what our $650 had got us, in the end we decided to cut our loses, packed up and went elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere!

I was most disappointed when the room I was given was not the room I had booked and was advertised. When I complained, Colin told me that the apartment I booked had sold in august (5 months prior), but didn't feel the need to let me know. Although I since checked the listing and there was still a review of the place I booked in November, so this story was clearly not true.
The room I had booked was on level 9 with ocean views, and the room I was given was on level 2, overlooking tennis courts instead of the ocean views that the photos showed. He had put us in a 2 bedroom apartment which was meant to be the upgrade to make up for the fact that it wasn't the apartment we had booked, even though there were only 2 of us, so we didn't need the extra room. He said there wasn't much he could do and offered us a refund - but because it was peak season - everything else in the area was sold out so we didn't really have a choice but to stay.
He also informed us on check in that the air conditioning had broken a few days before, but this wasn't all that was wrong with the apartment. The balcony door lock was broken so the unit couldn't be locked, the bathroom sink had problems draining water, the tv in the bedroom turned on, but you couldn't change the channel, the tv in the lounge had no local channels - all in all it was a very old and tired apartment.... which I may have been ok with if I was able to look at the ocean.

the hot water was a huge issue, the bed
felt like it was going to collapse everytime we rolled over and when we pulled one of the blankets down from the wardrobe it had a white stain on it, really not good and won't be staying again - we ended up checking out early from discomfort.

Very poor service. Reception was very poor and un attentive, had stuffed up the booking for our accommodation and were left with no option but to go elsewhere. Very unhelpful and did not care for the mistakes made by the staff

The apartment was okay, though a bit old. The view from the balcony was mesmerizing. Walking distance to the John Laws park at Burleigh heads. Should be priced a little lower.
