I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this has been a genuinely frustrating and disappointing experience — especially given the amount of money we’ve invested.
We purchased a large amount of AlphaFit equipment for our physio clinic and performance gym in Queenstown, New Zealand. This included an outdoor rig, sled, and additional pieces. We made the decision to go with AlphaFit because of their reputation and paid a premium, including upgrading to zinc-coated steel specifically to ensure durability in an outdoor environment.
Unfortunately, the reality has not matched what was promised.
Within less than 6 months, the sled has already started rusting — which is completely unacceptable given the coating we paid extra for and the intended use. This was raised early, and to their credit, we initially had a Zoom call with one of their engineers to discuss the issue. That gave me confidence at the time that things would be addressed.
However, since that call… nothing.
No follow-up. No resolution. No accountability.
This is despite multiple reassurances that the issue would be sorted. Communication has simply dropped off, which is extremely poor given the level of investment and the fact this is commercial equipment.
To make matters worse, the powder coating on our force plate iso rack has also started coming off in a very short period of time. Again, not what you expect from equipment marketed as premium and built to last.
The most frustrating part is not just the product issues — it’s the lack of after-sales support. Things can go wrong, but how a company responds is what defines them. In this case, the follow-through has been extremely poor.
We chose AlphaFit expecting a high-end, durable product and professional service to match. Unfortunately, our experience has been the opposite. At this stage, we are left with rusting equipment, deteriorating finishes, and no clear resolution.
Given the price point and positioning of this brand, this is simply not good enough.
I would strongly advise others to think carefully before investing — particularly if you’re purchasing for outdoor use or for a commercial facility. Based on our experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

There was only ever going to one choice for Electric Fitness when choosing a supplier for our fit-out and that was AlphaFit. I was able to call Will (our rep) and discuss our needs plus visit the factory to take a closer look at all the equipment.
When we were ready to start the fit-out the Alphafit team were there all the way which included installation of the flooring, rig, storage and cardio equipment. All done within a few days. Outstanding.
Electric is very happy with the space incorporating our colour theme of black and white throughout the range of equipment.

We recently worked with AlphaFit on our fit-out and the results exceeded our expectations! From start to finish the Natasha and the team were helpful, communicative and really took the time to understand our vision, provide valuable suggestions and delivered a final product that perfectly balanced in functionality and hit the style that we were looking at achieving!

We used an Alphafit competitor in our first two Snap Fitness gyms. When it came time to build our third, we were introduced to Natasha. Initially, I planned to renew our contract with the existing supplier — they were nearly half the price of Alphafit. While we had experienced some issues with quality and service, I didn’t feel the added cost of Alphafit was justified at the time.
But Natasha was persistent in showing the value of Alphafit’s premium products and service. She organised visits to several gyms fitted out by Alphafit, connected me with other owners who had used both suppliers, and patiently worked through what I can only describe as my constant (and probably annoying) requests for quote changes. I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of the experience — she’s friendly, incredibly responsive, always makes time to help, and none of that has dropped off post-fit-out. She’s a true professional.
