Great central location & beautiful views from the balcony.
Nice rooms, recently renovated which was awesome.
Lots of room in the 3 bed apartment and good amenities.
Only thing annoying was the showers were fixed height, not on a slider rail, so for myself (159cm) the shower head was way too high. I ended up just taking it off and holding the shower head.
Beds were comfy and black out blinds amazing!
Sound was blocked quite well by the doors etc, so not as noisy as I thought it would be.
The rooftop spa was nice, but definitely wouldn't say it was warm?
Sauna was amazing!

The wave is a lovely resort, in a great location, for this you will pay a premium price. I'm generally OK with paying a little extra for a nice comfortable holiday BUT... when I pay good money for my holiday I expect to be able to sleep well past 6am.. All rooms at the wave overlook a major construction site which apparently has no noise restrictions. Probably officially starts at 7am 6 days a week but so much work is actualy done pre-start including setting up machinery, concrete pumps etc. Now add to this discomfort that the entire swimming pool and entertainment deck was closed for renovation. 30 degree days and $1000s of dollars paid with no pool to enjoy?
The key difference between a motel and a resort would be the facilities. If the facilities are CLOSED how can you still charge your premium price? Obviously my complaint wasn't the first and Staff response was pretty much too bad not our fault. This staff attitude was the most disappointing, not an ounce of empathy or understanding, certainly no consideration of discount or apology.
There are so many great resorts in Broadbeach.
Give this one a big miss

Stayed in the Penthouse with friends April 2025. Amazing facilities. Great room, Views amazing. Hotel is central to everything. Walking distance. Had a little issue and discussed with Steve (Manager). He sorted out our issue to our complete satisfaction. Awesome customer service by Steve and his reception staff. Cannot fault the service. 5 star rating here. Will certainly stay here again and will refer friends and relatives. My wife and I are over staying at Surfers Paradise. Family vacation with four generations, 74 to age 4 and we all had a blast. The rooms are huge it gave us enough space that Nan could watch her tv shows and rest in the lounge room while the main living space was used by everyone else.
We were on floor 31 and the views are magnificent from both sides absolutely stunning. We were there while construction was going on below and you could honestly bearly hear it. Mr 4 actually loved watching the diggers, crane and dump trucks. Central location so we didn’t use our cars and could walk everywhere. Staff are amazing and happy and keen too listen to us chat they are so welcoming, nothing was an issue. Can highly recommended Wave for a vacation and will definitely be back. Can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality.

Loved our stay with family at The Wave Resort! Just returned from a week in a 2 bedroom apartment. Location was incredible, so close to beach/amenities and right in the heart of Broadbeach. Apartment was super spacious, amazing views, wish we could live in it! Would recommend and will definitely be back.
