This campsite could have great potential, but it is completely ruined by the staff.
We had a mechanical issue with our car during our stay. Because we own a camper trailer and needed the car to move it, we couldn’t leave and were forced to extend our stay.
The woman at reception was rude, unhelpful and showed zero understanding. We asked for help finding someone to assist us with moving our camper trailer and to leave a note at reception — she refused and didn’t even try to help.
She then made us change sites for our extra nights, meaning we had to completely pack up and set everything up again. Thankfully, some very kind neighbours helped us move the camper trailer.
Later, a man came and told us we had to move again because we were supposedly “over the line.” When we explained we couldn’t move the camper trailer without a car, he laughed and sarcastically told us to “just move it by hand.” Completely inappropriate and disrespectful.
No help, no empathy, no professionalism. The human experience here was a disaster.
And to top it off: the showers and toilets were absolutely disgusting. Filthy, dirty, poorly maintained — at all times of the day. Honestly, some of the worst sanitary facilities we’ve seen while travelling.
Such a shame. With better staff and basic hygiene standards, this place could be great. As it is, we do not recommend this campsite.

This location recently tore down the homes of over 40+ permanent residents, LITERALLY...
This action displaced family members and friendship ties within the area, some of 20yrs - 30yrs + having to relocate in other states for housing and much further for others.
No consideration or financial recompense was received to the households affected by this violation.
All independent market values considered including current &/or future market values inclusive of inheritance margins was stripped away without a lawful standing for permanent residents and their intendees…
All so the venue could charge a premium for your site…LEGIT…
I don’t know about you but I know I would’t stay here…
If your choice of accomodation here, be it a tent, caravan or site, I strongly implore you to reconsider…
This is not an establishment that considers wholesome family values, but instead the complete opposite…
It may have a fancy water slide (prior to permanent housing demolition) but the cost it bares will never remove the scars nor accommodate the financial burden incurred toward the residences and homes that were impacted for its revival…
And if you’re ok with that!….you're a CUintheNT…

Not impressed what so ever. Got the studio for my partner and I. One roll of toilet paper for 7 nights stay, never offered fresh towels, tiny shower with a curtain that sticks to you no matter what, splashes everywhere outside it. Absolutely no privacy if you're put near tents. Couldn't have the curtain open at all or door open for a breeze, tents pitched basically at the doorstep. Not the best location, Had to uber everywhere with the light rail not running.
Not worth the money for us

We stayed in one of the “Studios” the room was 3rd world. Peeling paint, an unbelievably loud rusty old air conditioner, sticky floor, missing blinds so no privacy and cars parking late at night less than a meter from the bed, harsh fluro lighting and nothing even remotely charming. I mean it doesn’t take much to make a space half way decent. Make more of an effort.

I'm taking away two atars for the horrible bot that you get to deal with when you call. AI is going to replace humans, well think twice. Ok, we arrived on Christmas day and the instructions were all clear, the keys were locked in a safe at the entrance, no problem there. But, since we missed reading one message (my fault of course) we tried to call and after 75 attempts (slightly exaggerated) we tried to tell the bot 'emergency' and the reply we got was 'a manager will call you asap. We received an sms the next day to check if all was ok... In case of any calamity, you'd have to use the pool water to extinguish fires, candles in case of a power blackout, inflatable pool noodles in case of a flood, but imagin that the wife freaks out and you have nowhere to find shelter? Frustratingly awkward that it is simply not possible to speak to someone at all. What if we hadn't received the code of the safe????
Of course there are good things too. It's relatively affordable, the room (studio) is basic, beds are fine (as long as you don't look underneath it!). Bathroom is modern and clean. Aircon and fan present, working fine.
Cooking facilities, stove, centrally located outside, no issues there.
Location is quite good, less than half an hr drive to Sea World, Movie world, Wet n wild and a short drive from the beach. Really cute bar and restaurant strip a stone throw away.
New tram line is under construction so I'm presuming that this will be convenient to travel to Surfer's paradise.
So, if you are going to the entertainment parks, this place is just fine.
Last but not least, a unique feature, a pretty big slide at the pool! They must be record holders of having the biggest one in the country!
