    Really great apartment and views. We are regulars. Sadly, the whole area is prone to rapid development with buildings rising all around and perhaps our apartment we had will lose its view north to Surfers due to the new high rise going up next door. However, the facilities all beautifully presented and everything was great. What can never be beaten is the stroll across the road to Burleigh North Beach. Location location...

    DO NOT STAY HERE! I wish I read the reviews before I stayed here! The manager was extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. The room was unsafe and failed to meet basic safety standards, resulting in an injury during my stay. From the photos below you can see there are NO safety decals on the glass panel making it very difficult to see the glass. Unfortunately because of this, I walked into the panel and broke my front tooth (extremely painful and expensive to fix) When I raised my concerns, I was dismissed and told the manager had been “advised by their legal team” not to speak with me. She refused to discuss the matter further and instead sent an email stating that my complaint had been forwarded to head office — yet when I contacted head office, I was told it didn’t exist. While the reception staff were lovely, the management was appalling. The blankets were dirty, and the cupboards were filthy and the kitchen ill equipped. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and safety. I would strongly advise avoiding this place altogether, it’s simply not worth the risk or the disappointment. It’s tired and dated and the manager is miserable. If they respond to this review and claim it was resolved… it DEFINITELY was not resolved and they’re extremely unprofessional!

    I wish I read through the Trip Advisor reviews before booking ... The website reviews look handpicked from a number of sites to give them legitimacy as no poor ratings appear there. Don’t stay here, save yourself the grief and money! Management charged us $220 in cleaning fees for stains on the dining chairs that we did not make. As it was a short three night holiday and we wanted a break from cooking, we explained that we ate out for all meals (apart from some snacks that the children ate in the living room) and hence did not use the dining table and chairs. Management stated that it was impossible that we never used the dining table and we should have reported the stains however we reiterated that we did not sight the stains as we did not use the area. Management did not care to hear us out, were combative from the get-go and accused us of lying, they were determined to charge us $220. The photos provided are from management. No invoice evidence for the cleaning cost though. They said they couldn't produce the photos taken when the last guest checked out before us either to compare the state of the chairs. Basically, you can't make those stains sitting on them, so who knows what these chairs have been used for in the past. Nonetheless, management have no interest investigating. Much easier to charge and move on. In general, our stay was disappointing. The apartment was worn and poorly maintained. The shower screens in the bathroom leaked water everywhere and were a complete falls hazard. In the ensuite, the glass shower door overhung the other glass panel so you can't close it. Management was passive aggressive when we discussed this matter and could not address the situation as the owner was overseas (which we were understanding of). The hot water was also insufficient, my wife and I had cold showers for two nights! The bathroom tiles are missing a lot of grout and sections look like they are about to fall off. The furniture (which you sink into) and beds are cheap and uncomfortable. You also get little in the way of laundry powder and washing up liquid etc. Not what you would expect for $500+ a night. The indoor pool is good in winter, and the views are lovely, which they obviously rely on as the apartment and the service was severely lacking! We will never stay here again! Do yourself a favour and check out Trip Advisor reviews. People have been complaining about these issues as far back as 2018. I stopped looking after that. Failing a few phone calls to resolve our situation, management was notified in advance that our poor experience would be posted on Google reviews and Trip Advisor. We stayed in 25H which has been complained about before in other reviews for mould and cockroaches.

    Extremely Disappointed- will not stay again We’ve stayed here many times over the years, but this recent visit was incredibly disappointing and has ensured we won’t be coming back. Upon arrival, we were hit with a horrible, musty smell coming from the main bedroom of our 2-bedroom apartment—it was overwhelming and made the room completely unusable. We went to the front desk immediately, but the woman there showed little concern and didn’t even offer to inspect the room. She claimed the hotel was fully booked and refused to move us. Later, a different staff member came to check and acknowledged the issue right away. He noticed the carpet was wet and agreed something was seriously wrong, possibly from flooding or a previous mess that wasn’t properly cleaned. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to squeeze into the smaller bedroom with single beds for the night. The next day, we were moved to another apartment, but it was outdated and had no view. To make things worse, the spa was closed during our stay and there was a lot of nearby construction noise. No compensation, no sincere apology, and no real effort to resolve the issue. After years of returning, this experience and the lack of proper customer service means we won’t be coming back.

    We recently stayed at Burleigh Surf Apartments and were drawn by the excellent beachfront location. Our apartment was spacious with beautiful ocean views, and the proximity to shops and walking tracks was a real highlight. That said, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. It’s clear that each apartment is individually owned, which means the quality and upkeep can vary significantly. Unfortunately, the unit we stayed in had cleanliness issues — three out of four blankets had visible stains and general dirt, and the kitchen had crumbs in cupboards and oily pans in the oven. The apartment also showed signs of wear and tear. The pool was closed for the first half of our stay, and construction two floors above us began daily at 8:00 a.m. These disruptions weren’t mentioned in advance, even though the booking was fully prepaid and non-refundable. A heads-up would have been appreciated, as we may have made other arrangements. We were also locked out on our first day due to a faulty key. With the front desk only available during business hours, it took four phone calls and over 30 minutes before someone could assist us. While the staff member was kind, we were advised not to use the deadbolt, which was inconvenient. On our final day, we lost our key and were told there would be a $250 replacement fee. After some discussion, this was reduced to $200, but we were never provided documentation showing that fee was required, even when we asked. The fee seemed quite high given the circumstances and when comparing with other hotels. We also contacted management through Expedia on the first day but never received a response. Overall, the property has a lot of potential — great location, views, and spacious apartments — but your experience will likely depend on the specific unit you get. We hope to see improvements in cleaning standards, communication, after-hours support, and fee transparency in the future. Thes comments were passed on in person and while it appeared consideration was given to these requests, not actionable commitments were given to support future visitors.
