My friends and I stayed here over the weekend to celebrate some personal achievements and take a break from our normal lives for a while. We had one of the apartments on the top floor, and I can easily say that we were all happy with what we got. There was a nice view of the pool area from the living room, the apartment was spacious and homey. There's a full kitchen for home-cooked meals, a large dining table, and a nice little balcony with a small table. WiFi and a TV with streaming services.
There were a few minor issues we had, but nothing out of the ordinary for cheap accommodation. The mattresses on the beds were quite firm, it was slightly uncomfortable but we were able to sleep just fine. The couches in the living room are quite small and a bit uncomfortable. There were no windows in either of the two bathrooms in our apartment, and also the extractor fans did not work in either of them, so showering or using the toilet was unpleasant. There was only 1 power outlet in the second bedroom and it was hidden behind one of the beds, the only way to access this was by rearranging the beds. However, there were ample power outlets in the other bedroom and around the apartment. The kitchen comes stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, a cooking pot, a saucepan and other useful utensils, but there was only one tiny packet of dish soap provided. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the main bathroom, but only one small packet of laundry liquid provided. It took us a while to get used to how the door handles and locks worked, but once we were used to it there were no issues.
Although the driveway to get into the underground parking garage looks daunting, I drive a lowered car and was able to drive in and out without any issues (there is a speed bump, but there's room to go around it).
Overall, my friends and I were quite happy without experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would like to thank the team at Blue Waters Apartments for making this possible for us. If you're looking for something cheap but still decent, I recommend this place!

Great pool. Helpful staff. Rooms spacious. Bed absolutely horrific. It's currently 3am on night 2 of an 8 night stay and I think the money we saved on cheap accommodation will now be spent on chiropractors. After the first night of tossing and turning all night we went out and bought a mattress topper and I can still feel every spring in the bed digging into me. Tomorrow I will buy new pillows because the huge concrete ones on the bed have given me a stiff neck.
Contemplating sleeping on the couch.

We booked 5 apartments for our group. We were out all day from 6am until 5pm for an event. So hardly there, which was probably the neat thing. The apartments are sub-standard with no signs of regular maintenance or deep cleaning. Dead bugs covered one of the master bedrooms, stained & fraying carpets. Mould on walls, broken holes in walls, broken plaster exposed. The beds were terrible, with a hard ribbed (bone-like) trim on top which dug into you through the night. Shower doors don't close properly, flooding the bathroom floor & when we requested an extra tea towel, we were met with a scolding "you have one, that's enough".
There are no lifts, so carting young babies, luggage & groceries for the entire 4 days to the top floor was dangerous to say the least.
The proprieters were rude & inhospitable. The only reason this property was considered was due to the location.
There was an opportunity to capitalise on future bookings for an event that draws thousands of participants, but it that ship has now completely sailed. Overpriced & overrated.

Don't let the low rating reviews deceive you. This may be one of the cheapest places to stay in Labrador but it certainly doesn't feel like it. Checking in and out is always quick, the staff are pleasant and happy to help, and the rooms are totally on par and are advertised honestly. I just stayed here for 3 days and I only left the place twice. It is great for a quick, easy, and quiet Gold Coast escape.

2.5 stars
Great location, Average rooms, owners/managers seem lovely.
Paid for cot to be put into the room, arrived and wasn't a cot in the room, luckily the owner/manager was able to bring us a broken cot we could use for the night. Unfortunately, the $400+ price tag we paid wasn't worth it, hopefully they can do some renovations and give the place some TLC its desperately searching for!
Good luck for the future :)
