Very old furniture, decor and fitting. The whole place felt dark and dingy and not clean. Called after hours to report a faulty smoke alarm that kept going off and was told he would not be coming back to fix it and he told me to take the battery out. Thankfully I only stayed one night while passing through. Will steer clear in future. Would give a zero if I could but I guess location was the only positive point!

Owners are the most beautiful people and their managers are amazing. The cleaners are very friendly and the place was clean and fresh. I would stay here before any other place on the goldcoast. The kids enjoyed the pool and playing with all the other children. Was an amazing experience.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING, & UNAUSTRALIAN, Invasion of privacy, horrible service & a bad environment. first day or so was okay, everything seemed nice, our first strike was when we come back from shopping and they had been into our room, which is absolutely AGAINST any hotel or motel policy, but it was to tape and sandbag the doors to prepare for ex cyclone alfred, so we had no problem with it, they forced us to exit out the back sliding door which had NO lock for 3 days before taking the sandbags down, one of the managers/ groundskeepers, scrawny, older, was really nosey, peeking through windows, staring, just all around creepy, they even let kids jump in the dirty green pool, after the rain, and the floodwaters out the front, no concern for safety. we were about 2 days from checking out , we had all our doors locked and went out to get supplies after the cyclone had passed through, and as we pulled into the motor inn our room was open, and that same weird man, was inside our motel room, going through our PERSONAL belongings, they stole nothing, I will honestly admit, but this is disgusting, Invasion of privacy, ontop of multiple other things, being aggressive with a woman, getting in my face shoving me while I had my arms crossed then tried to accuse me of trying to attack him?, I was asking him why he invaded our privacy and went through our shit, he said if we don’t like it we can leave. we are a homeless family, we have nothing but our clothes & our cars, our stay was paid for by a housing agency, they tried to belittle us for not paying for it ourselves, saying they could do whatever they want, when they want, and how they want, these people aren’t good people, I wouldn’t waste your time and money, even if its your last resort like it was for us, i noticed the price per night jumped up from around $150 per night to $240 right as the cyclone was coming in, seems like they like taking advantage of people in need. do your research look at reviews, stay away from this place, if you can. this will be in court in the coming months.

The worst accommodation experience ever. **UPDATE** Upon checking out, I made my way to reception to drop the key in to the after hours key box because I did not want to go near the manager/owners, as they had been watching me whilst I put all the rubbish/waste into a large dumpster style bin earlier, the rest of the bins were full of several days-almost at the box to return the key and was verbally set upon by someone who turned out to be the same person who denied an emergency phone call earlier than week. I replied, "I would rather not" and immediately ended up in a confrontation with the person threatening to make phone calls to my employer and several other places because I was being "such an angry person, just leave" as I was packing the car to leave. Somehow she had deduced with her Sherlock-like detective skills that the stay was being paid for by another company, the insinuation being the Motor Inn did not appreciate the following review or, really...any opinions. A great way to to end the stay, being told to leave, called several names, threatened with phone calls all while I packed the car and my kids had to witness a stranger verbally fighting their parent, then gaslighting the f out of me trying to now make out I was the problem (I barely spent any time at the Motor inn due to work commitments) because she demanded I hand the key directly to her. ENJOY the honest review of his hotel- the worst I've had the displeasure of staying at in my life. By the looks of other reviews I still got off very light Staff- judgemental and unhelpful Building- in tatters both cosmetically and structurally unsafe in several areas. Alarm clock/Complimentary Wake Up service- leaf blower less than 1mtr from your head/staff yelling at each other in foreign languages Kitchen- no that's a bathroom Phone-no and don't even bother asking office EVEN if it's an EMERGENCY, THEY D.G.A.F Internet- dial up speed, no router available to plug in Aircon- overwhelmingly stale, only just able to supply the small square footage of the room with cool air-we got lucky here Room size- infant to XXS Fridge- pieces missing internally, enjoy your ice build up Door lock/security- was a lock there at one time, now half replaced with a screw, doesn't stop management or staff from entering even if they profess with certainty that there is only on key for all the rooms, when you check in. Lighting- lamps missing shade....and bulb Pet friendly- if your pet is a wasp and enjoys nesting directly outside your door, he or she will already have friends gathered above your head when you exit the rear door. Kid friendly- as long as your kid is silent and enjoys doing nothing, or is a brat that you send outside for hours while you sleep, Facebook or Netflix the is perfect for them too. Signs located every 2 seconds for your convenience, no smoking signs that is. Enjoy your surroundings with ambient noise above 90db from highway and main road traffic All the top of the iceberg Truly an unforgettable experience, but would rather sleep under a bridge or in the husk of a burned out car, in a drain...just anywhere the owners/managers aren't. The positive reviews on here are either being bribed in some way, have lost their marbles or are the owners friends, as I can say with sincerety and experience there is NOTHING good about this place except that there are four walls and a roof which has nothing to do with the owners or managers who seem set on being menaces.
