Entirely disappointing and Poor service. 🤮🤢
I visited this restaurant on Wednesday night to celebrate a loved one's birthday. As locals living in Labrador, we were excited to try this place. We ordered a three-course meal, including grilled barramundi, salmon with rice, and garlic prawns.
Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The person who took our order was unprofessional and unsure about a simple request we made to swap the salmon for barramundi. After checking, she informed us that it would cost an additional $3, which we accepted, despite knowing that salmon is typically more expensive than barramundi.
The most disappointing and upsetting part of the night was when I discovered bacon in my grilled prawns dish. The menu made no mention of bacon being included. It wasn't just a garnish—it was hidden at the bottom of the plate. I have never eaten bacon in my entire life because I dislike it. When I asked the supervisor about this, she claimed it was due to the fried rice I had ordered instead of jasmine rice. This explanation felt like a cover-up, and I found it dishonest.
I was so distressed that I had to leave the table and run to the restroom, where I became physically ill. Despite the poor service, I tried to remain calm out of respect for the other customers.
I’m sharing this experience to warn others that this restaurant is extremely disappointing, with unprofessional staff and poorly qualified chefs. It seems like their priority is taking your money rather than providing a quality dining experience. If it were possible, I would give this place a negative star rating. I strongly recommend avoiding this poorly managed restaurant.

The food is very cheap so expect very least when it comes to standards. The salad looked 3 days old, the pork ribs were overcooked and difficult to cut, the rump was cold but at least it was medium rare. The service staff were incredibly friendly, efficient and funny.

I’m a long time customer and live at the Grand Hotel Apartments
This restaurant has clearly the best meals on the Goldy if not in the whole of Qld. We regularly dine here several times a week and can honestly say never had a bad experience.. My favourite go to is the spaghetti marinara. If you like seafood please make sure you order this as a main. The oysters kilpatrick are to die for… Love this place

The service is excellent and the view is great. It was very busy when we went there. The portions are quite big so make sure you don't order too much! The wood wasn't bad. The prawn starter wasn't great but the grilled baby octopus was nice. The Indonesian chicken was good, just needed the chicken to be grilled before as it was a bit tasteless.

Extra large portion food, heaven for starving people like me. Quick and lovely customer service. Very noisy environment in the evening time because of the birds chirping just on the roof of the restaurant. Food was pretty decent, big enough to fill up the stomach and start a Karaoke indoor. Recommended👍🏻👍🏻
