It was a wet day with scattered sunshine the day we visited The Hunted Cafe at Bonogin... so named because it's off the beaten track, and to an extent, one has to 'hunt' for it! However, we thought the hunt was worth it, and with Ms. Google's help, it wasn't that difficult at all. The food was excellent and the service was friendly... the atmosphere was modern country and the drive there took us through some delightfully picturesque countryside which looked freshly resplendent after the rain. It's not very far off the beaten track at all, yet it's another world... hidden away in the Gold Coast Hinterland... that I really enjoy. The road was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves to the extent that we made a booking for a visit with friends for a few weeks' time. We'll done The Hunted Cafe, Bonogin, via Mudgeeraba

Ordered before the person I came with and she has already finished her food and mine is yet to be served. Ordered a large mug cappuccino and got a medium takeaway.
My friend is now eating her caramel slice and I’m still waiting on my bacon and eggs
Really not happy, WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
Oh look my food just arrived, ordered eggs over easy, got sunny side up and only 1 piece of toast…. Biggest waste of money

Lovely place a bit remotely situated. The service was quick and friendly. The dishes are very tasty and presented beautifully. Lovely atmosphere with quiet outdoor seating or the alternative of indoor if preferred. Recommended.

Excellent cafe with great food and good coffee. The outdoor seating is a great spot to sit and enjoy the friendly service and watch the world go by while sipping your latte.
The bakery items where are very good - I especially like the croissants.
