We recently visited Gills Indian Cuisine in Coomera City Centre and overall had a really positive experience. This Indian restaurant offers a good variety of authentic dishes including curries, biryanis, tandoori items and freshly made naan, all prepared with fresh ingredients in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Q: How was the food quality and flavour?
A: The food was really tasty and full of flavour. Our curries were well spiced and rich, the rice was perfectly cooked and the naan was fresh and soft. A lot of diners mention the butter chicken and coriander chicken as favourites, and others talk about how meals like paneer curries are consistently enjoyable.
Q: How was the service and atmosphere?
A: The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, a nice balance between casual and a sit-down experience. Several reviews online also note friendly service and helpful staff.
Q: How was portion size and value?
A: Portions were generous and great for the price, especially when sharing dishes or ordering family meal deals, which they often promote.
Q: Anything to improve?
A: While our experience was largely positive, some other reviews online comment on inconsistency in flavours or occasional dishes that feel less authentic. However, this seems occasional, and many customers still return for the overall quality and variety.
Q: Would you recommend Gills Indian Cuisine?
A: Yes! If you’re in Upper Coomera and craving Indian food with a good range of curries, biryanis, tandoori and vegetarian options, Gills is definitely worth a visit. The friendly service, generous portions and robust menu make it a solid choice locally.

I was welcomed personally by the owner, which already made the experience feel warm and genuine. On his recommendation, I tried the Butter Paneer Masala, and it was outstanding rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The food came within 15 minutes, piping hot and fresh.
The ambience is beautiful, with a calm atmosphere that makes dining here enjoyable and comfortable. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was so good that I found myself coming back the following week.
Highly recommend this place if you’re after authentic Indian flavors, great service, and a welcoming environment.

I recently visited **Gill's Indian Cuisine on the Gold Coast** and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered two types of bread, the Garlic Naan and Roti, both of which arrived undercooked—practically raw. This was a major letdown, as bread is often a staple of Indian cuisine.
The quality control seemed lacking, and I would recommend they pay closer attention to such basic elements of their dishes. Sadly, this issue overshadowed the rest of the dining experience. I’ve attached a photo for reference to highlight the situation.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and ensures a better dining experience for future customers.
