After living in South-East Queensland for a couple of years and visiting a few bouldering gyms, Alpine Robina is still my favourite. Fantastic vibe and consistently varied, challenging, approachable route setting. Don't let the small size trick you! There's plenty to get out of a regular session here.

This is without a doubt my favourite gym ever!! The route setting is amazing and the community here is the best around, so much encouragement from everyone. Clean holds that are given a refresh regularly. Amazing staff who are an absolute pleasure to be around and welcome you with open arms. Honestly, there are so many positives for this gym, i’d have to write an essay to put it all into words. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Have been climbing here for a while, really great routes. I think the overhang section here is unlike any other climbing gym I have been to. People of all levels can give this overhang section a shot which makes it really fun for everyone new or experienced. I think other climbing gyms that I have been to on the gold coast/brisbane such as urban climb or 9 degrees do not have a section like this, which is what sets Alpine apart! I also feel like because the gym is smaller, the quality of the routes is better. Plus everyone is really friendly. Really recommend!

Plan well…. I have climbed there once before and it was fun.
BUT I brought my 9 year old who climbs on the Sunshine Coast at another gym in the kids advanced class and ran into the no climbing under 10 years old policy.
Was told it was the policy and waited for a few moments for a ‘but’ or a ‘because’ and or whatever. But that was the end of the sentence - so we went to Core and climbed there quite happily.

Great place, friendly staff, I'm used to much taller walls but this one is about the same size walls as a standard room - ish. Still a bit of fun, family friendly but can get a bit crowded so pick your times.
