Unfortunately, I can’t say anything positive about this gym. If there’s one thing you take from this review, it’s this: DO NOT trust anything they tell you verbally, get everything in writing. They will deny conversations, shift blame, and leave you with the consequences.
I trusted their staff member, Alissa, when she told me I could set up a membership for my brother and, if he had to return overseas, I could cancel it through her, as she understood that visa situations are beyond our control. Nearly a month later, my brother had to leave the country. I called Goodlife and spoke with Alissa. She told me the membership was canceled. I asked if I needed to send an email for confirmation, and her response was: “Nope, it’s all done already.”
That same day, I saw her at the reception while I was at the gym, and I decided to confirm everything again — and again, I was told it was canceled.
A month later, I noticed charges on my account. I assumed it was a mistake and called Goodlife, only to receive the worst customer service of my life from their manager, Sarah. Honestly, she should not be in a customer-facing role. She was not only rude and dismissive, but also SO condescending. She repeatedly told me that Alissa never said any of that and that Alissa didn’t even have the authority to cancel a membership (The curious thing is that she was very sure of that without even checking with Alissa, who wasn’t on shift that night, as she told me when I asked.) I couldn’t even get a full sentence out without being cut off, so I ended the call and tried again the next morning.
To my surprise, Alissa answered the phone. I explained the situation, and her response was: “Oh, that’s odd — let me check, as it was canceled.” Then I was transferred to Amy, and after that, I was never able to speak with Alissa again.
While Amy was nicer than Sarah (still shocked at how Sarah treats people), she also repeated the same line: that Alissa couldn’t possibly have said that, and that the membership couldn’t have been canceled.
In the end, I had to find someone to take over the membership and still paid for a month that went completely unused. I never received an apology or any accountability from the gym.
My honest belief is that Alissa made a genuine mistake, but instead of owning up to it, management chose to deny everything and make it seem like I was making it all up.
Bottom line: Do not trust verbal agreements from this gym. Always get everything in writing or recorded. Their customer service is deeply lacking, and management refuses to take responsibility for staff mistakes.

The team at Bundall are amazing. They helped me make a membership even when I was a little bit difficult. The blonde girl at he counter (I don’t know her name) was very polite and understanding and I hope she accepted my apology
Definitely one of the better gyms on the Gold Coast when considering price as well as amenities.

Beware the 'free trial' trap! This gym lures you in with promises of a no-cost test run, but it’s a sneaky ploy to snag your bank details and lock you into a 12-month contract they hope you’ll forget about. I trained once—ONE TIME—and decided to switch gyms. When I returned to cancel my so-called 'free' trial, I discovered they’d already siphoned $25 from my account without a single word of warning. Shady tactics and zero transparency—steer clear unless you love surprise charges.

Great value for money! This gym is friendly, convenient, and offers a wide range of classes and facilities. I mainly do Reformer Pilates, which is an affordable option that allows me to attend five times a week. The instructors are fantastic, informative, encouraging, and always make you feel welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a supportive and well-equipped fitness space!

Staff member there wasn't happy that I decided against signing up after they gave me free access for the day (even held onto my car keys....). Then she demanded I pay $25 access fee. Nice enough gym, not a good variety of cable attachments but the customer service is what turned me off
